BMW 328 Turns 75

Who could believe the BMW 328 turns 75 years old in 2011?! This car won a historic victory at the 1940 Mille Miglia race. In honor, BMW recreated the event in 2010.

According to WCF: “Only 464 units of the classic BMW 328 were ever made, with just 200 of them still around today.”

To fans and collectors, this make BMW’s 328 one of rarest and most cherished classic automobiles in existence.

328 initially made its debut in 1936. Its 2.0 liter engine was tuned to various outputs, which led the car to set a record top speed of 143 mph for a BMW car. The 328 Kamm Coupe went on to win the 1940 Mille Miglia challenge in Italy, a historic performance.
