Classic BMW 325i is Alive & Well in Philly
Just outside the City of Cheesesteak Love (and home to your very favorite automotive blogger) lives a great mythical beast, whose charm is only outweighed by its majesty – the 1987 BMW 325i Convertible. Long before the days of stretched out, incoherent names like “sDRiVe297463iz” there were simple “Series” – and a convertible 3-Series with under 150,000 miles (garage kept also) is a rare find. Take a quick ride outside of Philadelphia, in West Chester (aka Best Chester) PA and one can be your for around $2500.
Found on Auto Trader (link will work only as long as the car is posted for sale) this ’87 drop top automatic 6-speed BMW coupe has only 125,847 miles on it. That itself is worth the $2,493 asking price. The vehicle seems to be in almost-pristine condition outside and in the cockpit. Of course, who knows what lies under the hood or worse, under the chassis. This beaut also comes with leather seating, CD player, alloy wheels and power locks/windows. Hey, that was all considered high luxury in 1987.
Safety features and extras include:
* Driver Air Bag
* Anti-Lock Brakes
* Air Conditioning
* Alloy Wheels
* Cruise Control
* Passenger Air Bag
* Leather Seats
* Power Door Locks
* Power Mirrors
* Power Windows
* Power Steering
* Tinted Glass
We have to say, a BMW find such as this should not be passed up. Hell, we might head up to Best Chester this weekend and have a look ourselves.
