Ti’s the season for Automotive shows, and the bi-annual Paris Auto Show is just around the corner. BMW is getting ready to show off the highly anticipated (and highly protected) X1 and new 7-Series concept models.

BMW 7-Series -

As one of the larger BMW models, the 7-Series has been a hit for years with those looking for a more spacious, luxurious-luxury vehicle. The German auto maker has been hinting about an all new design concept both inside and out for 2009 & 2010 7-Series vehicles. Recent spy photos (including the shot below) show that BMW is really focusing on keeping all concept models well under wraps. Maybe the automotive blogs and magazines should hire TMZ’s paparazzi photographers. This alleged 7 looks more like an extra from Death Race.

BMW X1 -

An artist’s rendition of the X1 is probably close to what we can expect in a real life model at Paris Auto Show 2008. More hatchback sedan than a traditional crossover, X1 continues the experience of powerful yet comfortable commuting with enough room for three kids and the dog.

With the recent success of X3 and the rise in global gas prices, both a diesel edition and more compact unleaded addition to the X-Series should help both domestic and foreign sales. Again, another highly covered spy shot gives us a hint of what BMW’s X1 will have to show off in Paris.
